WoW Cast Timeline Viewer

Pick a fight and a player from any WarcraftLogs report. Every ability becomes a lane, every cast a marker on the time axis: openers and rotations laid out like a cooldown note.

What is a WoW cast timeline?

A cast timeline turns any World of Warcraft combat log into a visual sequence of everything a player pressed: every spell, cooldown, and ability laid out on a time axis. Instead of scrubbing a Warcraft Logs report line by line, you see the full rotation at a glance, so you can learn openers, compare cooldown usage, and copy what the best raiders do.

How it works

  1. Paste a Warcraft Logs report

Drop in any public Warcraft Logs report URL. No addon or in-game setup required.

  2. Pick a fight and a player

Choose the pull and the character you want to study from the report.

  3. Read the timeline

Every ability becomes a lane and every cast a marker, so the full rotation is laid out like a cooldown note.

Frequently asked questions

What is a cast timeline in WoW?

A cast timeline is a visual sequence of every spell, cooldown, and ability a player used during a fight, laid out on a time axis. It reconstructs the full rotation from a Warcraft Logs report so you can read it at a glance.

How do I see a player's rotation from Warcraft Logs?

Paste the Warcraft Logs report URL into the tool, pick the fight and the player, and every cast appears on the timeline. No addon or in-game setup is needed.

Can I view any player's casts?

Yes. Any player in a public Warcraft Logs report can be loaded, so you can study the openers and cooldown usage of top-ranked raiders, not just your own logs.

What is Playback mode?

Playback replays the rotation as a moving playhead: ability icons flow past a fixed line so you can step through the opener and mid-fight sequences in order. Press Play, scrub with a click, and change speed. With a compare loaded, both players play back side by side on the same clock.

What do the coloured bands on the timeline mean?

They mark haste windows the player was under. A red band is Bloodlust (or any equivalent, Heroism, Time Warp, Fury of the Aspects, Primal Rage, Drums), and a yellow band is Power Infusion, the 20% haste buff a Priest casts on someone. Use the Buffs button to toggle them, so you can check which casts landed inside the burst window.

Can I see a player's resource over the fight?

Yes. Turn on Resources in Playback to plot each player's primary power (Rage, Energy, Focus, Runic Power, Maelstrom, Fury, Astral Power, Insanity, or Mana) as a percentage of its cap under the rotation, with a live value on the playhead. It makes pooling, overcapping, and dumping easy to spot, and lines up you versus a compared parse on the same scale.

Is the Cast Timeline free?

Yes. Viewing cast timelines, Playback, buff windows, resource graphs and comparing timelines side by side is free. A Supporter perk unlocks loading the whole raid into Playback at once.
